Nmadili N. Okwumabua (Biography)

Nmadili N. Okwumabua is a highly experienced educator, urbanist, and cultural designer, specializing in the industry for over 25 years. She holds a BSc in Architecture from the University of Tennessee, a BSc in Urban Studies from Georgia State University, and an MSc in African and African American Studies from Clark Atlanta University.

Ms. Okwumabua shares her expertise through speaking engagements at international conferences and universities, advocating for sustainable development in African and global communities. Outside her education and architecture, she also has experience in project management, real estate development, marketing and sales.

She has founded two influential initiatives: the Community Planning & Design Initiative Africa (CPDI Africa) and the Global Studio for African-Centered Architecture (GSACA). Currently, she is focused on leading pioneering research initiatives at CPDI Africa’s Global Studios while supporting developers aiming to infiltrate new and emerging markets.
