Our first place, Oluwafemi Olagbenro – University of Brighton
Femi’s approach to design was focused on sustainability in the material use and design approach. Creating a design with a hollow core allows for effective passive cooling and energy efficiency. His form allows air filter through the building and uses the principle of stack effect. He also used the site the most effective as he positioned all amenities within a third of the land space given. This means that more of such structures can be provided within the space allocated which saves resources.
